What we collect
- Your email or phone number and password, for login.
- Your birthday, to enforce the 18+ minimum required by our Terms of Service — never shown on your profile.
- Your state/country, shown on your profile only if you choose to add it.
- Whatever you choose to put in your profile, messages, confessions, posts, reels, and stories.
Message and media content in rooms is end-to-end style encrypted before it leaves your device — we can't read it.
Who we share it with
We use Supabase for our database, authentication, and file storage, and standard Web Push for notifications. We do not sell your data to anyone.
Content moderation
Reports you file, and the content/account they're filed against, are visible to our moderation team so we can review and act on them. See our Terms of Service for what reporting and blocking do.
Children's privacy
HYPE is an 18+ platform. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us so we can delete it.
Your account, your data
You can permanently delete your account and its login at any time from Settings inside the app.
